Bessie Robinson Crews

Mrs. Bessie Robinson Crews, 2135 NC Hwy 210 West, Garland, NC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday September 15, 2016.  She was born in Bladen County on April 28, 1928.  She is preceded death by her husband W.R. Crews, her father Timothy P. Robinson and her beloved mother Amanda J. Robinson who passed away on September 15, 1984.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Robinson and Timothy P. Robinson Jr., three sisters Acie Tatum, Emma Tatum and Sudie Smith.  One cherished granddaughter, Lisa Marie Robinson.

She is survived by her children, Neil Robinson (Barbara), Janice Cummings, Frank Davis (Michelle) and Bruce Davis (Denise).  7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

 A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Garland Baptist Church 55 West 2nd St. Garland, N.C., with the Rev. Ed Rouse officiating.  Burial will follow at the Garland Cemetery.

 The family will receive family and friends on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, NC from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.   The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabethtown Health and Rehabilitation and Lower Cape Fear Hospice for the loving care of our dear mother.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Garland Baptist Church, PO Box 367 Garland, NC 28441 or the charity of your choice.
