Christine Evans Johnson

Mrs. Christine Evans Johnson 72 of 3270 Harrells Hwy. Garland, died Wednesday September 14, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnson born October 26, 1943 in Bladen Co., the daughter of the late Jimmie & Luby Melvin Evans.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Johnson, one son, Kansas Johnson, a daughter, Ella Jean Council, a brother Jimmie Evans and one sister, Thelma Evans.

A graveside service will be held Saturday September 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Longview-Herring Cemetery 3704 Harrells Hwy., Garland, NC.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her five daughters, Mary Carr of Burgaw, Darlene Hill of Fayetteville, Christine “Cricket” Crenshaw of Garland, Aretha Johnson of Fayetteville and Adele Robinson of Leland.  Three sons, John Johnson, Adrian Johnson & Charles Johnson all of Garland, two sisters, Delma Evans of Garland, Mary Evans of Elizabethtown, one brother, Preston Evans of Elizabethtown,17 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren

A public viewing will be held Friday September 16, 2016 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
