Ms. Gladys Lamb Mathis Anderson, 95 of 5814 Dobson Dr. Fayetteville, formerly of Roseboro, died, June 24, 2017 at her residence

Mrs. Anderson was born March 26, 1922 in Sampson County to the late Lillie Mathis and Mammie Lamb Mathis. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Anderson, daughter Dorothy (Dot), my brothers Calvin, Haywood Mathis and Adoll Williams, my sisters Matilda, Annie Lou, Lola, Sudie, Lorenia and Elizabeth.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church Roseboro, by the Reverend John Oliver.  Burial will follow in the Roseboro-Snow Hill Cemetery in Roseboro, NC.

Ms. Anderson is survived by five daughters, Willa Atkins (Lenny) of Fayetteville, Jean Carolyn Williams (Bernard) of Fayetteville, Enice “Bud” Adams (CB) of Charlotte, Betty Joe Murray of Fayetteville and Patricia Tyler (Randy) of Newport News, VA.  One son, Willie Charles Anderson (Carolyn) of Burlington.  13 grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held from 1:00P.M.-6:00P.M. on Friday, June 30, 2017 with the family present from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
