Glenn Milton Belser Jr.

Mr. Glenn Milton Belser Jr. , 70 of 250 Hill Circle Rd. died Monday, January 30, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

Mr. Belser was born August 19, 1946 in Onslow County, the son of the late Glenn Hoover Belser Sr. & Geneva Session Belser.  Mr. Belser severed in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star and also the Purple Heart.  He was self-employed truck driver for many years.   

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Garland First Baptist Church in Garland, NC with the Rev. Dr. Louis Hackett officiating.  Burial will be February 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Rd., Jacksonville, NC, with military honors.

Mr. Belser is survived by two sons, Stephen Belser & wife Sonja of Durham and Glenn M. Belser III of Panama City, FL.  One daughter, Sharnice Belser of Garland.  Fiancée Nancy McNeil of Garland.  Two step-daughters, Sameka McNeil of Clinton & Ebony Bryant & husband Leon of Wilmington.  One step-son, James Lindsey of Wilmington.  Two brothers, Anthony Belser of Atlanta, GA. and Albert Belser of Jacksonville, NC.  Two sisters, Estella Faneite of Brooklyn, NY and Debra Brown & husband Michael of Newport Beach, CA.  Step-Mother Mary Belser of Wilmington.  A special friend, Sandra David of Wilmington, NC.   17 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Monday February 6, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home of Garland.
