Janie Newton White

Mrs. Janie N. White, 66 of 408 E.  Jackson St. Roseboro, died Monday May 22, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Mrs. White was born in Sampson County April 15, 1951 to the late Willie Newton & Lottie Owens Newton.  In addition to her parents Mrs. White is preceded in death by her sisters, Margie Marsh & Mae Lewis Johnson. Brothers Willie J. Newton, Willie James Newton and Charles Lee Newton.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday May 28, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro, NC officiated by Rev. John. T. Oliver.  Burial will follow at the Garland Community Cemetery.

Mrs. White is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Lewis & husband Charles of Roseboro. A son, Rev. Johnny Ray Newton of Fayetteville.  Nephews Dennis Newton & wife Fatima, Willie Ray Newton & wife Rosemary and Terry Lee Newton.  Two nieces, Della Newton and Belinda Newton.  Five grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild

A public viewing will be held Friday May 26, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
