Jeanette Newkirk Moore

Mrs. Jeanette Newkirk Moore 70 of 423 Longview Lake Rd. Garland, died Thursday, October 06, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC.

Mrs. Moore was born November 13, 1945 in Sampson Co., NC.  She was the daughter of the late Willie A. Newkirk and Flossie Murphy Newkirk.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband Johnnie James Moore Sr., sons: Jimmy Lee Moore of Clinton, Johnnie James Moore Jr. of Garland and Roger Moore of Clinton.  Daughters Linda Gail Carr of Garland, Jennifer Moore of Roseboro and Melissa Ann Moore of Garland.  Sisters Thelma Newton of Harrells, Mable Figueroa of Peekskill, NY, Dorothy Gibbs of Dallas, TX and Saretta Tuck of Ivanhoe.  Brothers John David Newkirk of Dallas, TX and Luther Ray Newkirk of Bladen, NC.

Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her brother Willie Newkirk III, and sisters Willie Neil Tatum and Elizabeth Sellars.

20 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 1:00P.M.-6:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
