Joseph "Joe" McKenny Peters

Mr. Joseph McKenny Peters 67 of 504 Cypress St., died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Mr. Peters was born, August 15, 1949 in Cumberland Co., the son of the late William Atha Peters & Minnie Lee Bass Peters.  He was Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  He was preceded in death by wife Deborah Dana Herring, sisters, Lillian Ford, Lois Higgerson, brothers, William A. Peters Jr., Alton Farmer,

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. at the Royal family Cemetery, 1135 Libbie Rd., Autryville, NC.

Mr. Peters is survived by his daughter, Lois Annette Sullivan of Roseboro, Step-son, Damion Williams of Castle Hayne, grandsons Travis Wrench and wife Stephanie of Leland, Cody Sullivan of Kings Mtn., great-grandson, Colton Lee of Leland, sister, Jean Carlisle of Autryville,

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M.-3:30P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Carter Funeral Home before the service.
