Mrs. Lizzie Townsend Smith 86 371Townsend Rd.,Garland, died Saturday, February 06, 2016 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center in Elizabethown, NC.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Millers Chapel AME Zion Church 853 Old Fayetteville Rd., Garland, by Reverend Pia Jessup.  Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by four daughters, Alberta Johnson, Ann Smith, Bernice Wilcox all of Garland, Willdean Ejiofor of White Oak, three sons, James Townsend, Paul Smith, Bernis Smith all of Garland, one sister, Bessie Owens of Clinton, 36 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The public will be received from 1:00 P.M.-5:00P.M. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, and other times at the home of Alberta Johnson, 371 Townsend Rd., Garland, NC 28441
