Peggy Ann Smith

Ms. Peggy Ann Smith 73 of 59 Smith Farm Lane, Garland, NC died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Daysprings Assisted Living, in Wallace, NC.

Ms. Smith was born February 21, 1944 in Sampson Co. the daughter of the late James Alvin Smith & Rebecca Davis Smith.  She was preceded in death by sister, Drucella S. Hopson, sister-in-law Judy W. Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Garland Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, by the Reverend Jeff Hayes.  Burial will follow in the Carter cemetery.

Ms. Smith is survived by two brothers, Clemmon Smith (Edna), James “Jimmy” A. Smith Jr both of Garland, brother-in-law Leo Hopson of Clinton, and two best friends, Ann Moody, Viola Marshall both of Harrells.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 1:00P.M.-1:45P.M. at Garland Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in the fellowship hall, and other times at the home of Clemmon & Edna Smith, 10139 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland, NC 28441
