Mrs. Retha Mae Rigans 83 of 331 Burden Rd., died Saturday, May 07, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church in Tar Heel.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. John T. Morrison officiating.
Mrs. Rigans was the daughter of the late Fable & Lena Burden. 
Mrs. Rigans is survived by two sons, Marvin Rigans and wife Judy and Billy F. Rigans one brother, Richard Burden, one daughter, Minister Pearlie Sanders four sisters Attelia Porter, Emma Shipman, JoAnn Burden and Nona Lee Williams.  Nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Friday, April 13, 2016 from 1:00P.M-6:00PM at Carter Funeral Home with family present from 5:00PM-6:00P.M.
