Wanda Gail (Carter) Smith

Mrs. Wanda Gail Smith 58 of 804 College St. Apt. 212, Clinton, NC died Sunday, July 9th, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born October 10, 1958 in Sampson Co., the daughter of the late John McCoy Carter & Ellen Smith Carter.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Smith, sister, Patricia Carter and a brother, John Harold Carter.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Serenity Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Chris Smith wife Shelley of Harrells, two daughters, April Faircloth husband, Adam of Godwin, Shannon Adams and husband David of Clinton, 8 grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Dawson Miller, Darren Miller, Joshua Faircloth, Emily Adams, Chloe Smith, Angel Adams, and Jesse Smith. 1 great-grandchild, Jaxon Johnson, two sisters, Nell Batchelor of Rose Hill, Judy Naylor of Clinton, one brother, Frankie Carter of Clinton, and many special nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at Serenity Baptist Church, 8994 Garland Hwy., Clinton, NC and other time at the home of Judy Naylor 1590 Ozzie Rd., Clinton, NC.
