Annette Laverne Hayes

Ms. Annette Laverne Hayes 59 of 531 McKoy St. Clinton, NC, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.

Ms. Hayes was born January 31, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Ollie Robinson Sr.(Christine) & the late Pearl B. Hayes

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at St. Stephens AME Zion Church, by the Reverend Dr. Hugh Miller Sr.  Burial will follow in the Garland Community Cemetery.

Ms. Hayes is survived by two daughters, Allison Devane of Clinton, Yazmine Hayes of Washington, DC, grandchildren, Dominique Hayes, Chelsey Devane, Nylah Hayes, Judiana  (Rose) Newton, Jaheim Newton, Tayshawn Walker, great-great-grandchildren, Kamari Hayes, Alijah Walker. Annette was the oldest of 10 children, 3 of whom she helped raise, loved and adored Darryl Hayes (Alice), Michael Hayes, (Louise), Benjamin Hayes (Lenora), 3 loving sisters, Katherine Strong (Ronnie), Barbara Peterson (James), and Sherry Highsmith (Henry), Brothers, Olin Cromartie (Diane), Curtis Robinson (Diane), David Robinson (Terri) and Ollie Robinson Jr. (Sharon), 1 great-aunt Daisy Burns, special cousin and “Road Dog” Alma (Sister) Cromartie, special friend/Co-worker Myrna Johnson, and host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 1:00P.M.-5:00P.M at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
