Bertha Louise (Jacobs) Newkirk

Mrs. Bertha Louise Newkirk 78 of 121 Dawson Ave., died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Newkirk was born February 23, 1939 in Sampson Co., the daughter of the late Will Ernest Jacobs & Mary Howard Jacobs. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Garland First Baptist Church by the Dr. Louis Hackett.   Burial will follow in the Garland Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Newkirk is survived by Husband: Richard Newkirk, four Daughters: Mari Bazemore, Connie Lee, Centhdny Lee, Nisa Newkirk, one son: George Lee, Three Sisters: Ethelene Herring,  Nettie Williams, Zelma Jacobs, five Brothers: James Jacobs, Charles Jacobs, Wilbert Jacobs, Frank Jacobs, Harvey Lee Jacobs, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

The public will be received from 1:00P.M.-7:00P.M. Friday, November 03, 2017 at Carter Funeral Home with family present from 6:00PM-7:00P.M.
