My deepest sympathies to the family. Mrs. DeVane was one my teacher many years ago, she taught not only the requirements in a the classroom, but compassion. Life compassion. The lessons one can't learn inside a book. I will always be truly grateful for those lessons. She help mold me into the compassionate person I am today. I have taken those lessons applied them to my substitute teaching, skills, office skills and community service. I applied them in my home life as well. I will be praying for healing mercies for the family, for there is no greater loss than that of a wife,, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed by many of the students she taught, because of the life lessons she taught us. She is a wonderful lady. I will always love her.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ms. DeVane was a beautiful person inside and out. I loved her and I was so glad I got to see her during her visit to the nursing center and she remembered me...that made my day. She will be greatly missed.
