Grayford Johnson

Mr. Grayford Johnson 76 of 10282 NC Hwy. 41 East, Harrells, NC died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Johnson was born August 20, 1941 in Sampson Co. the son of the late Richmond Johnson & Lessie Smith Johnson. He was retired logger.  He was preceded in death by one son, Grayford Johnson Jr., one daughter, Mary Frances Johnson, two sisters, Eula Bell Pate, Lessie Mae Taylor, seven brothers, Lenwood Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Charles Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Graham Johnson, Burice Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Colly Chapel Church, by the Reverend Jim Woodruff.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Linda H. Johnson, one son, Terry Johnson (Shelia) of Harrells, one brother, Earnest Johnson (Deloris) of Bladenboro, 1 grandchild, Crystal Johnson Powell (Steven) of Cerro Gordo, 2 great-grandchildren, Emily Powell, Nathan Powell, and a host of  niece & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
