Harold Deleon Underwood

Mr. Harold Deleon Underwood 74 of 127 S.H. Peterson Lane, (Delway Community) died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.

Mr. Underwood was born February 19, 1944 in Sampson Co. the son of the late James Underwood & Vada Bryant Underwood.  He was preceded in death by four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 17 2018 at Little Piney Grove Baptist Church, by the Reverend Alice Jean Boykin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Underwood is survived by his wife, Mary Lois Underwood, one daughter, LaKesha Underwood of Roseboro,  two son, Harold Underwood Jr of Dudley NC, Travis Colwell of Jacksonville, NC, three step-daughters, Denise Bryant of Teachey, NC, Tonya Colwell of Clinton, Vernice McLean of Rose Hill, two sisters, Helen Vann of Garland and Hazel Treadwell of Clinton, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

The public will be received, Friday, March 16, 2018 from 1:00P.M.-7:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home with family present from 5:00P.M-7:00P.M.
