James Robert Bishop

Mr. James Bishop 74 of 1477 NC Hwy. 210 East, Harrells died Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Bishop was born January 18, 1944 in Sampson Co. the son of the late John William Bishop & Lillie Hope Bishop.  He was an  Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War.  Mr. Bishop was a retired roofing contractor.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Smith Cemetery on Mote Rd., Harrells, NC, by the Reverend Barry Helms & Mr. Albert Roderick.

Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Bishop, one son, Robert Wayne Bishop & wife Jennifer of Harrells, one daughter Teresa B. Huggins & husband Kenneth of Tar Heel, NC, one sister, Ruth Roderick & Husband Albert, 3 grandchildren, Samantha Lynn Bishop, Evan Wayne Bishop, James Raybon Bishop, several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
