James Floyd Moore

James Floyd Moore 86 of 365 Floyd Lane Garland, North Carolina, died on June 5, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born October 20, 1930 in New Hanover County to the late William Irvin Moore & Margaret Smith Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Barnes Moore.  He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a retired farmer.

.The funeral service will be held Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Garland Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Rouse officiating. Burial will follow the funeral in the Cypress Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Garland.

Mr. Moore is survived by his daughters, Marlene Norris of Garland and Gail Moore of Raleigh.  One son, Dallas Moore of Garland.  One sister Lois Morley of Wilmington.  Two grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Thomas and Marlene Norris, 224 West Front St. Garland, NC Tuesday June 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
