Nathaniel Bailey

Mr. Nathaniel Bailey, 88, of 1045 Gibbs Road, Garland died Friday, December 20, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Mr. Bailey was born March 30, 1931 in Bennettsville, SC. Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Queens E. Floyd Bailey, one son Bob Bailey, one sister Helen Gregory, four brothers James Bailey, Clemont Bailey, Sydney Bailey and Johnny Bailey. Mr. Bailey was retired from Turlington Lumber Company, Clinton, NC.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Garland First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Gibbs Cemetery, Garland, NC.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife Mittie Belle G. Bailey of Garland, five daughters Mildred “Peaches” Boone (Joseph) of Clarksville, TN, Natherline B. Blue (Reginald) of Harrells, NC, Barbara Bailey of Clinton, NC, Sandra K. Bailey of Raleigh, NC, Joette Bailey of Clarksville, TN, one son Kenneth N. Bailey of Garland, NC, two boys Rico Richardson, Telly Kojak, one brother Fred Bailey, Sr. (Elouise), Hamlet, NC, four sisters Edith Bears,  Laurel Hill, NC, Dorothy Green (Otis), Bennettsville, SC, Betty Sue Bailey, Laurel Hill, NC, Louise Brown, New York, NY, 15 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 1:00 P.M.-7:00P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.
