Sarah Nell (Hilton) Evans

Ms. Sarah Nell (Hilton) Evans  96, of 1259 Lovejoy Rd Troy, NC, formally of Garland died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor, NC.

Ms. Evans was born June 19, 1922 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Henry E. and Bertha Ruth (Atkinson) Hilton. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Claud D. Evans. One daughter in law Elise Evans; five brothers: J.W., Hazel, Pete, Bobby and Wilbert Hilton and one sister, Louise Matthews.

Funeral service will be held at noon Friday, October 19, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Rev. Tommy Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cypress Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  

Ms. Evans is survived by four sons Harold Evans (Connie) of Troy, NC,  Randy Evans (Rhonda) of Asheboro, NC, Wayne Evans of Ashe, NC and Billy Evans of Sanford, NC. One daughter Debbie Kotoris (Steve) of Siler City, NC. One sister Mrs. Ina Mae Moore of Raleigh. 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 11:00A.M.-12:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.
