Mrs. Shelia Boykin Johnson 61 of Bill Town Rd. died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 7, 1955 in Sampson County to the late Roy J. Boykin & Mittie P. Smith Boykin.  She is preceded in death by her husband Leander Johnson, son James Kevin Hill and three brothers, Ira Lee Boykin, Jay Dee Boykin and Winfred Boykin

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday April 23, 2017 at Hayes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a sister, Ida Parker of Garland, one brother, Donald Boykin of Wilmington, one step-son, Glenwood Herring of Ivanhoe.  Four Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandcildren.

The public will be received on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM with family present from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
