Thomas "Tom" Lowell Carter

Mr. Thomas “Tom” Lowell Carter 77 of 991 Jane St. Lumberton, NC, formerly of Garland, died Friday, April 19, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Mr. Carter was born January 16, 1942 to the late Mr. J.P. Carter and Mrs. Elizabeth Brock Carter. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Cain Carter and two sisters, Barbara Fonseca and Debbie Casselman.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday April, 24, 2019 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Carter is survived by two daughters: Ms. Maleia Bellamy of Lumberton, NC and Mrs. Charla Suggs and husband Bart of Hope Mills, NC. One sister, Ms. Peggy Carter of Garland. Five grandchildren: Kristen Weibe and husband George, Kaitlin Bellamy, Kimberlin Bellamy, Isaac Suggs, Gabriel Suggs. Six great-grandchildren: Ameliah Weibe, Adelyn Weibe, Alaric Weibe, Brooklyn Bailey, Vincent Bailey and Isabelle Bailey.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from the 6-8 pm at Carter Funeral Home, in Garland.
