William "Willie" Earl Powell

Mr. William “Willie” Earl Powell 75 of 85 Birdy Lane, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Golden Years Nursing Center in Falcon, NC.

Mr. Powell was born July 18, 1942 in Sampson Co. the son of the late Henry Faison Powell & Lillie Cain Powell.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Herring, Dorothy McKiney, three brothers, Robert Powell, Gerald Powell, Danny Powell.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Garland Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Garland Cemetery.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Willarise Powell, three sons, Ricky Powell (Lisa), William Shane Powell, Travis Powell all of Garland, one daughter, Melinda Hunter (Hugh Mac) of Chinquapin, two sisters, Hattie Ruth Jones of Harrells, Myrtle Ann Powell of Clinton, 7 grandchildren, 6great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6:00P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.
