Willie "Pete" Mae Murphy

Mrs. Willie Mae “Pete” Murphy 56 of 59 Parkway Ave. Garland, died Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at Bladen Co. Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

Mrs. Murphy was born May 04, 1962 in Sampson Co. the daughter of the late Willie Paul Murphy and Allie Mae Pridgen Murphy.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Allen Murphy and one sister, Ella Jane Murphy.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Carter Funeral Home by the Rev. Willie O. Randolph Jr.  Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by two daughters, Josephine Murphy- Rorie (Nathan) of Harrells, Tabrayla Murphy of Garland, two-step daughters, Felicia Highsmith of Lisbon, Sandra Herring of Harrells, five sisters, Diane P. Murphy, Gail Highsmith both of Harrells, Geneva ‘Eva” McNeil, Letha Renee Murphy both of Garland, Lillie Doris McKoy (Curtis) of Lumberton, one adopted Sister, Joyce Ann Corbett (Lonzo) of Garland, 9 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 1:00P.M.-6:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home with family present from 6:00P.M.-7:00P.M.
