Alvie Carlton Fennell Sr.

Alvie C. Fennell, Sr., 69, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 29, 2025. Born in Harrells, NC. He was the son of the late, Alvie H. and Rosa M. (Alford) Fennell.

He was an active and devoted member of Grace Deliverance Baptist Church in Bethlehem for many years, where he also served as a trustee. Alvie earned his Master’s Degree from what is now known as Moravian University, received his Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina Central University, and was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1974. He retired from PPL after 40+ years of service as a manager in the technology department. Alvie enjoyed gardening and golfing, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Anita E. (Scott) Fennell. They would have celebrated 22 years of marriage on November 29th. Sons: Alvie C. Fennell, Jr. and his wife, Holly Keefer, and Jeremiah T. Fennell and his wife, Chelsea, Sister: Linder M. Herndon, Nieces and Nephews, and his beloved Grandchildre: Jaiman, and Yadina Fennell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a Brother: Anthony D. Fennell, in 2012.

The viewing will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM, at Keathern Missionary Baptist Church, 92 Bland School Road, Harrells, NC.

The service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Keathern Missionary Baptist Church, 92 Bland School Road, Harrells, NC.

Interment to follow in the church’s cemetery.
