Antoinette "Ranger" L. Boykin

Antoinette Loriane Boykin, affectionately known to many as "Ranger," was born on October 29, 1965, in the charming town of Rose Hill, North Carolina. She charmed those around her with an unwavering spirit and a dedication to caring for others throughout her life. Antoinette’s journey through life was marked by her devoted work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Health Care Industry, a career that allowed her to touch countless lives with her compassion and kindness.

On June 13, 2025, Antoinette departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and love that will forever echo in the hearts of those she cherished. She passed at the CFVMC in Fayetteville, NC.

In her absence, she is survived by her beloved son, Willie McRae, who resides at home. Antoinette’s enduring familial bonds also include her cherished sisters: Jahalia and husband Frankie Imes of Fayetteville, NC; Vanessa Childs of Richmond, VA; and Sara Chapman of Fayetteville. Her brothers, Virgil and wife Peggy Boykin of New Brunswick, NJ; and John F. and wife Juliette Boykin of Fayetteville, NC, stand steadfast in their remembrance of their beloved sister.

Antoinette's heart bears the thumbprints of those who have departed before her. She reunites with her parents, Jay Lewis Boykin and Vernell  E. Boykin, as well as her twin brother, Antoinio L. Boykin, and her brother, Jerry L. Boykin. 

A memorial service to honor Antoinette Loriane Boykin will be held on June 20, 2025, at the Carter Funeral Home located at 111 North Ingold Avenue, Garland, NC. The service will commence at 1:00 PM and will lovingly conclude around 2:00 PM, providing family and friends an opportunity to celebrate a life that radiated joy and compassion. Reverend Willie Imes will be officiating the service.
