Barry Fryar

Barry Fryar was born in Rose Hill, North Carolina, on September 13, 1964, to Joyce Bryant (step-father Gerald Bryant) of Wallace. Throughout his life, Barry was known for his passion for auto mechanics, playing pool, and his vibrant spirit, always living life to the fullest.

Barry loved his family dearly. He is survived by his three siblings, Regina Herring (Donnell) of Wallace, Nartasa Holmes of Wallace. Step-Sister Geraldine Bryant of Burgaw. He was a devoted father to his five children: Brandon Smith of Garland, Adele Johnson of Garland, Takeri Fryar of Harrells, Jamarion Fryar, and Ky’Mirria Fryar of Garland. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, along with many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

He proceeds in death alongside his grandmother and grandfather, Elizabeth "Mu" Bryant and Henry Bryant of Delway.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC. Reverend Kenneth Bryant will be officiating. Barry's memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
