Barry Connell Jacobs Sr., 66, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Barry was born on August 02, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY to the late: Charlie Robinson Jr. & Charlie Mae Jacobs Boykin. In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by one sister: Glinda Faye West.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 06, 2024, at Wards Chapel Baptist Church, 3764 Delway Hwy., Harrells, NC. Reverend Larry Farrior will be officiating the service. Interment to follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery, 3251 Lamb Road, Garland, NC.

Connell leaves to cherish his memory, three sons: Barry C. Jacobs II of Loganville, GA; Jason Wright of Wallace, NC, Tilou Omar Newkirk of Wallace, NC; 6 sisters: Fannie Lillian Mitchell (Mack) of Rose Hill, NC; Glennette McNeil of Clinton, NC; Herma Powell (Robert) of Orlando, FL; Carmen Becton (Keith) of Turkey, NC; Deirdre Johnson (Levon) of Winterville, NC, and Thryza Robinson of Orlando, FL; 3 brothers: Wayne Merritt (Ruth) of Harrells, NC; Linwood Robinson of Rose Hill, NC; Ricky Robinson (Linda) of Greenville, NC, devoted fiancé: Patricia Loyd of Orlando, FL (daughters: Dana, Tonya, Javona), 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

A Viewing will be held on Monday, August 05, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
