Garland

Clarence "Dude" Lee Tyndall, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on May 21, 2025, at his residence in Garland, North Carolina. He was born on April 14, 1955, in Bladen County, NC, to the late Lester and Annie Bell Tyndall. His journey through life was filled with hardworking dedication and warmth that touched everyone around him.

Clarence’s career as a truck driver was not just a job; it was a testament to his enduring spirit and commitment to providing for his family. His reliable presence on the roads mirrored his steadfast love for his family and friends, always there when needed, just like he was behind the wheel.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Wanda Tyndall, who remained by his side through thick and thin. Their partnership was a shining example of love and support that will forever illuminate the lives of those who knew them. Their son, Jonathan Tyndall, also of Garland, NC, carries forth the values and lessons imparted by his father.

Clarence's legacy continues with his two devoted sisters, Patricia Townsend and her husband Neil, and Glenda “Doodle Bug” Wallace, both residents of Garland, NC. He also leaves behind his caring brother, Ervin Tyndall and his wife Ann, who shared countless memories and laughter over the years. Together, they will hold dear the spirit of Clarence and the fond moments they created as a family. In addition to his immediate family, Clarence had a wide circle of friends in the community who admired him for his kind heart and friendly demeanor. His ability to connect with others and create lasting friendships enriched his life and the lives of those around him.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Annie Bell Tyndall, as well as his sister Linda Tyndall, and brother-in-law Randy Wallace. Their memories will forever be cherished as he enters into eternal rest, surrounded by their love.

We gather to celebrate Clarence’s life, remembering a man who genuinely made the world a better place. A graveside service will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 24, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM at the Garland Cemetery in Garland, NC.
