Mr. Clayton “Clay” Alvin Cannady 60 of 11497 Old Mintz Hwy. Garland, NC, died Saturday, January 07, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
Mr. Cannady was the son of the late Gibson Cannady & Virginia Robinson Cannady. He was Transportation supervisor for Murphy-Brown LLC. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Cannady, and a sister, Sharon C. Howard, Step mother, Beatty C. Balkcum
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Garland Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Garland Cemetery.
Mr. Cannady is survived by his wife, Sally Cashwell Cannady, two sons, Timmy Cannady (Chasity) of Kelly, Eddie Cannady (Rhonda) of Clinton, one daughter, Mandy Cannady of Garland, two brothers, Randy Cannady (Vinnie) of Clinton, Phillip Cannady (Judy) of Fayetteville, one sister, Mary Jernigan (Robby) of Harrells, 8 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. Monday, January 09, 2017 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland and other times at the home.
