Cora M. Lee

Cora Jane McLean Lee was born to the late Lency and Esther Autry McLean in Bladen County, NC, on April 6, 1942. She departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Cora leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters and son-in-love, Genel and Vann Newkirk, Constance Lee; grandsons and daughter-in-love, Denzel (Natalie) Webb, Jamel Webb; sister and brother-in-love, Mozell and Michael Kenney; sisters-in-loves and brother-in-love, Claretha Lee, Rosetta and Michael Johnson, and Bessie Lee Watts. Also, she leaves bonus children Levi and Irish Clemons, Dianne Clemons, Clayton Earl Clemons, and Anthony Ray and Delores Clemons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by son, Huey O’Neal Lee; siblings Mary Ellis, Mildred (Mancy) Herring, Curtis McLean, and Carol Wright; and bonus son Billy Ray Clemons.

The public will be received on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Holiness Church, 2020 Johnsontown Road, Elizabethtown, NC. Burial to follow in the Autry Cemetery on Johnsontown Road, Elizabethtown, NC. Reverend John T. McCoy will be officiating the service.
