Chrystal Gail Smith, 48, of Garland, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home.

Kristie is survived by two sons, Zack Avery and Justin Smith. Two grandchildren, Cayleigh and Camdyn Avery. Her mother, Brenda Fowler, and several  Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. 3 bonus children, Triston, Aerial, and Remme Smith. 2 sisters, Mary Smith and Miranda Faircloth, and a brother, Dale Faircloth. 3 fur babies, Biscuit, Olive, and Mister, numerous chickens, and "Her Honey". She also leaves behind numerous friends, that her kind, gentle, beautiful, funny, and loving soul has touched throughout her sadly shortened life.

Kristie wanted to be cremated and have her ashes laid to rest in private. A day to celebrate her life is being planned, and more details will be announced to family and friends in the near future. 

She will be greatly missed by many people and forever loved. Rest easy my love, I will see you again. It's our destiny.
