Etheline Johnson Bradley

Ms. Etheline Bradley of 6418 Gwinnett Lane, Bowie, MD, formerly of Elizabethtown, NC passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Ethel was born on February 17, 1938, to the late Jessie Johnson and Odessa Richardson Johnson. Ethel retired from the Washington Metro Transportation Authority in the DMV area.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Holiness Church, 2020 Johnsontown Road, Elizabethtown, NC.
Interment to follow in the Autry Cemetery, Johnsontown, Rd., Elizabethtown, NC. Pastor John T. McCoy will be officiating the service.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026. From 2:00-7:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00-7:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children Barbara Ann Redden and William Don Redden (Elyse), one uncle: Leroy Boykin, six siblings: Jessie Johnson, Jr., Pauline Johnson, Effie Highsmith, Minnie Hawkins, Harold Johnson (Sherrie) and Stevie Johnson (Carole), four step daughters: Carolyn Bradley (Franklin Graham), Rev. Sandra David, Ellen Maith and Angela McFadden, 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, four Goddaughters: Linda Bradford, Elania Williams (Carl), Linda K. Frederic (Hughes) and Kimberly Reed Ellerbe and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special “Thank You” to her nephew/caregiver for the last four years, Randolph Germaine Barnes,II. You’re truly appreciated! Thank you for your dedication and support for “Your Girl”, Aunt Ethel!

Beginning Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the family will receive friends at the home of Minnie Hawkins, 271 Sandhill Loop Road, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
