Eunice "Pridgen" Beatty

Ms. Eunice “Pridgen” Beatty, 90, of 28 C. Beatty Rd., Harrells, NC passed away on May 31, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, NC.

Ms. Beatty was born January 20, 1935, in Bladen Co. the daughter of the late Jake Murphy and Bertha Pridgen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clarence Beatty, son, Willie Clarence Beatty Jr., and a grandson, Jonathan M. Highsmith., sisters, Joann Murphy, Myrtle Crumpler, Geneva Townsend, and Mozzell Murphy, brothers, J.C. Murphy, Charlie D. Murphy, Johnnie B. Murphy, Floyd Murphy, and Leonard Murphy.

The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 08, 2025, at Carter Funeral Home, by the Reverend Dr. Ronald Highsmith.  Burial will follow in the Beatty Cemetery, Murphytown Rd., Harrells, NC.

Ms. Beatty is survived by two sons, Andrew Beatty (Annie) of Harrells, and Jerry Beatty (Linda) of Hope Mills, NC, and a daughter, Pricilla Beatty (Doug) of Hope Mills, NC., sister, Rachel Fryar, brother, George Murphy, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

The public will be received on Saturday, June 07, 2025, from 3:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
