Gregg was born on October 7, 1975, to Hattie Autry Streeter and the late George Pittman. Gregg was a loving father; devoted son; caring and protective brother, uncle, and cousin; also a loyal friend to many. His warm spirit, joyful laughter, and caring heart brought comfort and happiness to those who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his beloved son, Nasir Pittman and his loving mother, Hattie Autry Streeter. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Duwayne Beckwith, Thomas J. Streeter, Montez and Corey Pittman; his sisters, Genethia Clark (Roger), Tiffany Pittman; his uncles and aunts: Leo Autry (Joyce), Thurman Autry (Linda), Randolph Autry (Georgia), Jerry Autry, Jimmy Pittman, Charles Cooper (Angela), Chamar Cooper, Janice Johnson (Larry), Joy Pittman, Elaine Autry, Michelle Autry Stacker; as well as his godson, Jamari McNeil. Gregg also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him dearly and will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Pittman; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his special nephew, Cedric Lesane.
Gregg graduated from Clinton High School, then attended Shaw University, and later entered the workforce at Dubois Steel, then shifted his career into logistics where he worked until his health began to decline.
Gregg was a true sports enthusiast who had a special love for football and basketball. Known for his humorous personality and joking spirit, he had a remarkable way of making others smile. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most. His kindness, laughter, and unforgettable personality will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
Although Gregg’s earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC. Reverend John McCoy will be officiating the service.
