Harold Wayne Mote

Mr. Harold Wayne Mote, of 8921 Carolina Circle, Avon, IN, formerly of Harrells, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at his residence.

Wayne was born February 19, 1953, in Sampson County, to the late Ernest Mote and his wife Annie Merritt Mote. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Marjorie Tatum; and Vickie Bordeaux.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Colly Chapel Church in Harrells. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Jim Woodruff will be officiating the service.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Jackie Harrison-Mote, of the home, son: Jamie Mote of Autryville, NC, daughter: Brittany and Spencer Graybeal of Burlington, NC, stepsons: Travis and Kelly Sellars of Bladenboro, NC; Brandon and Nichole Harrison of Avon, IN, stepdaughter: Crystal Meehan of Fort Wayne, IN; grandsons: Tyler and Alexis Mote; and Amos Graybeal, step grandchildren: Cayson Sellars; Jacqulyn Harrison; Anthony Meehan; Brave Harrison; Jubilee Harrison; and Honor Harrison, brothers: Raeford and Sheila Mote of Garland, NC; Red Mote of Harrells, NC, and sister Sue Long of Bladenboro, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
