Hosea Woodall Cain

Hosea Woodall Cain, 100, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at Southwood Nursing Home in Clinton, NC. Born on December 3, 1924, in Johnston County, NC, she lived a life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community.

She was a cherished member of Garland Baptist Church, a community that deeply enriched her spiritual journey.

Hosea is survived by her loving daughter, Peggy Mizelle of Mayodan, NC, and her daughter-in-law, Diane Cain of Turkey, NC, along with her eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of warmth, wisdom, and kindness. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Cain, and two children, Ray Cain and Cathy Dellinger, her parents, Millard M. Woodall and Hettie Bell Woodall, as well as her siblings, all of whom she loved dearly.

The viewing for Hosea will take place on May 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM, both at Garland Baptist Church, located at 55 West 2nd St., Garland, NC 28441. Afterward, she will be laid to rest in interment at Garland Cemetery.

Hosea's life was a testament to her devotion to family and faith, and she will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
