JB Spearman was born on January 5, 1947 in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Henry James Spearman and Elizabeth Harvard Spearman. He received the Master's call to transition from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Saturday June 27, 2026 at 2:17AM at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, N.J.

JB attended the public schools of Sampson County and graduated from Clear Run High School in 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he received specialized training and worked as a plumber. He diligently served our country at various duty stations around the world and in the battle of Vietnam. After his military service, JB relocated to New Jersey, where he built a long, fulfilling career with the Ford Motor Company until his well-earned retirement. He found and joined in holy matrimony to his sweetheart Linda Faye Lamb on December 28, 1973. They were blessed with 52 years of unity, love, friendship and two beautiful children. Together with their radiant smiles, loving personalities and welcoming hospitality, they fostered a wealth of loving friendships and tightly knitted bonds. JB was baptized and received his Christian foundation at Christian Love Baptist Church in Irvington, N.J.

JB’s legacy of love lives on through his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Linda Faye Spearman of Irvington, NJ; his son, Jevon Spearman of Arlington, TX; and his daughter, Tameka Spearman of Roselle, NJ. He was the proud grandfather of Mekhi Spearman and Jevon Spearman, Jr., both of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by his three sisters, Luerain Pratt (Samuel) of Wallace, NC, and Angela and Ashley Spearman of Garland, NC; three brothers, Henry Spearman, Jr. (Ann) of Hillside, NJ, Billy R. Spearman (Annie) of Irvington, NJ, and Jimmy L. Spearman (Sandra) of Harrells, NC; and a dear aunt, Willie Mae Duncan of Florida. His memory will also be treasured by his sisters-in-law, Mary Evelyn Lamb (Tracy) of North Haven, CT, Edna Hayes and Creola Hayes of Garland, NC, and Patricia Lamb of Irvington, NJ, along with a host of loving relatives and close friends.

JB was preceded in death by his sister, Betty J. Maggett, and his sister-in-law, Gertrude Greene.
