James Edward Faison

Mr. James Edward Faison, 94, of 114 Pilgrim Rest Church Road, Harrells, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.

James was born on January 01, 1930, in Sampson County. He is preceded in death by his first wife: Margaret B. Faison, second wife: Geraldine B. Faison, and several brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Pilgrim Rest  Baptist Church, 9364 Wildcat Road, Harrells. Dr. Jerry Corbett will be officiating the service. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved daughter: Janice Chestnutt (Lonnie) of Harrells, one son: Wayne Chestnutt, two step-daughters: Lena DeVane (Walker) of Salemburg, Naomi Henry (Jessie) of Clinton, three grandchildren: Michelle Chestnutt of Harrells; Lonnie Chestnutt, Jr. (Yolanda) of Harrells, and Bryan Chestnutt (“Lashae”) of Harrells, Derrick Chestnutt, Dwayne Chestnutt and Brittany Chestnutt and numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland.
