Jerry Balkcum Carroll

Jerry Balkcum Carroll, affectionately known as Jerry B Cannady, passed away on December 21, 2025, in New Hanover County, North Carolina. Born on December 10, 1956, in Sampson County, he was a cherished member of his community and will be remembered for his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to his work.

Jerry devoted many years of his life to the Shirt Factory in Garland, NC, where he made lasting connections with his colleagues and contributed to the community's fabric. Later, he transitioned to a fulfilling career at Nissan, where he continued to apply his skills and work ethic.

Throughout his life, Jerry maintained close relationships with his cousins and friends, who loved and admired him deeply. His laughter and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty B. Cannady; his stepfather, Gibson Cannady; and his brothers, Roger and William Carroll. Their absence is felt profoundly by all who knew and loved Jerry.

As we remember Jerry Balkcum Carroll, we celebrate a life dedicated to family, friendship, and hard work. His legacy will live on through the memories he created with those fortunate enough to have known him.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, January 10, 2026, at the Balkcum Family Cemetery, Balkcum Road, Rose Hill, NC.
