Joshua Bartlett

Joshua Bartlett, known affectionately to many as Josh, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2026, in Bladen County, North Carolina. Joshua was born on June 8, 1984, and during the forty-two years of his life, he made a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community.

Joshua is remembered as a devoted husband to his wife, Nicole Carter-Bartlett, and a loving father to his son, Emmett Bartlett, and daughter, Charity Bartlett, and step-daughter, Madison Hall. He was a cherished son of Randy Bartlett and Melva Bartlett, and a beloved grandson to Grace Sutton. He was a beloved brother to his sister, Amanda Parker. His memory is held dearly by many friends throughout Garland and the surrounding areas. While his loss is deeply mourned by all who knew him, he is also remembered alongside his late brother, Timothy Bartlett, whom he joins in eternal rest.

A man of profound commitment, Joshua dedicated himself wholeheartedly to those he loved. He was recognized by his family and friends for his steadfast support, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His presence at family gatherings, community events, and among friends brought warmth and a sense of togetherness that will be missed.

The outpouring of love and support from the community in Garland and beyond is a testament to the connections Joshua forged throughout his life. The friendships he nurtured were built on mutual respect and genuine care, and his absence leaves a void that will be felt for years to come.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Serenity Baptist Church, 8994 Garland Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328, where the family will meet with friends prior to the Funeral Service. The Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 p.m., also at Serenity Baptist Church. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Serenity Baptist Church Cemetery, located behind the church.

Joshua Bartlett’s legacy will endure through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories cherished by family and friends. His dedication to family, unwavering friendship, and strong community ties will always be remembered.
