Lela JoAnn Chasser

Lela JoAnn Chasser, formerly known as Lela Naylor, passed away on January 10, 2026, in Meriden, Connecticut, at the age of 47. Born on July 22, 1978, in Clinton, North Carolina, Lela brought warmth and joy to everyone she met throughout her life.

Lela will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Deane Chasser, with whom she shared her life and countless memories. She is survived by her devoted mother, Cynthia Naylor, and her father, Donnie Naylor. Lela was a proud mother to her children, Justin Wilkes and his wife Kayla, Kelsie Lewis and her husband Casey, Brianna Pearsall and her partner Mike, Jasmine Pearsall and her partner Cameron, and Brian Pearsall and his wife Leah. Each of her children cherished the bond they shared with her and will carry her spirit in their hearts.

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Haylie Wilkes, Sadie Wilkes, Colton Wilkes, Colton Pearsall, Harmony Garrison, and Brayden Pearsall. They will remember Lela for the love and wisdom she imparted, and the laughter they shared.

Lela is also preceded in death by her brother, Owen Naylor, who watched over her during her time on earth and beyond. The memory of Owen will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them both.
