Linda Benton Clayter

Linda was born the daughter of the late Edger and Frankie Benton, in Bladen County on March 5, 1947. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She passed peacefully at Rich and Sonya Marvin's home under the care of Lower Caper Fear Hospice Care.

Linda is survived by her daughter: Sonya and husband Rick Marvin, her son: Byron and wife Debra Clayter, grandson: Austin, granddaughters: Alleigh, Sam, and Leah, two sisters: Shirley and husband Stanley Baldwin, and Connie Savage.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband: Sonny Clayter, her grandson: Glenn Marvin, and granddaughter: Maddie Marvin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Delco Cemetery in Delco, NC. Reverend Kim Moore will be officiating the service.
