Mrs. Mary Joyce McKoy Smith, 62, of 67 Grant Ave., Garland, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.
Mary was born on April 13, 1962, in Sampson County, to the late Harry & Mary Jane McKoy.
A Funeral will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 04, 2025, at Miller’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 855 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland, NC. Reverend Arnold Peterson will be officiating the service. Interment to follow in the Garland Community Cemetery, 203 Hill Circle Road, Garland, NC.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband: Paul James Smith of the home, son: James McKoy of Garland, one sister: Katherine Sinclair of Garland, one brother: Willie Ray McKoy of Garland; 8 grandchildren, other family members, and friends of the community.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, January 03, 2025, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland.
