Matthew James Hoffert

Matthew James Hoffert, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the Angle House Hospice Center in Whiteville, North Carolina. He was born on October 16, 1984, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and grew to be a talented mechanic known for his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft.

Matthew's journey was shaped by the love and support of his family. He is survived by his devoted parents, Jim Hoffert and Cynthia Hoffert, of the home, as well as his cherished brother, Todd Hoffert and wife Amanda Hoffert of Newport Richey, Florida, and his sister, Denise Welteroth and husband Adam of Mebane, North Carolina. Matthew's legacy continues through his godson, Jackson James Hoffert of Florida, and niece Ashley Welteroth of Mebane, North Carolina, who brought joy and light into his life.

In addition to his family, Matthew is remembered affectionately by his loving fur baby, "Red," who was a constant companion and source of comfort. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will remain steadfast in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
