Mr. Charles Parrish Brown 87 of Wilmington, formerly of Garland, died Sunday, August 10, 2014. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by brother, R.M. Brown Sr., and sister mary Elizabeth Brown. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Garland PFWB Church, by the Reverend Dewey Ball, and Reverend Marty Tew. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Park,9332 Hwy 117 N., Watha, NC 28478 Mr. Brown is surived by two sisters, Aileen Lewis of Charlotte, Carolyn Smith(Charles) of Wilmington, and several nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at the church before service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, 1406 Physician Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401., or to one's favorite charity.
