August 15, 1951 — September 8, 2014
Fayetteville, NC – Ms. Carolyn A. Davis, 63, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014. She was a retired educator with the Cumberland County Public School System. She was also a math instructor at Fayetteville State University where she mentored young math majors.
Carolyn was a dedicated and faithful member of Sam Spring AME Zion Church.
Carolyn is survived by her loving parents, Sam and Luray Davis; brother, Robert E.Davis (Dora); a nephew, Greg Davis (Shannon); a niece, Robyn Lockett (Travis); a great uncle, Jesse Owens; and a host of relatives and friends.
Homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Saint Thomas AME Zion Church in Roseboro. Rev. John Mark Melvin, Pastor of Sam Spring AME Zion Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roseboro-Snow Hill Cemetery, in Roseboro, NC.
