Nicholas "Adam" Strickland

Nicholas "Adam" Strickland, born on July 11, 1988, in Newport News, Virginia, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Kelly, North Carolina. His sudden departure has deeply touched his family, friends, and all who came to know him.

Adam was the beloved husband of Hannah Strickland. He was a proud father to three children: Adalynn, Harper, and Nicholas Jr., whose lives are an enduring testament to his love and guidance.

He was cherished by his mother, Angela Yankasky, and her husband, Art Yankasky; as well as by his father, John Strickland, and his wife, Phyllis Strickland. Adam also held a special place in the hearts of his father-in-law, Gary Cashwell, and mother-in-law, Angie Cashwell.

Adam is fondly remembered by his siblings and their families: Tiffany, Zachary, Lauren, Bobby, Marianne, and Arthur. He also leaves behind a large extended family, including his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joshua, Brooke (Ryan), Whitney (Dale), and Cari, all of whom valued his warmth and sense of humor.

His legacy will continue in the lives of his nieces and nephews: Kaleb, Chloe, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Shane, Kynzlee, Karlee, Haidyn, Matthew, Collin, Shawn, Bentley, and Annistyn, all of whom will remember his kindness and loving presence.

Preceding Adam in death were his grandparents, John M. Strickland, Archie Jernigan& Libby Jernigan. Their memory was cherished by Adam throughout his life.

Adam dedicated his professional life to his work at GAF as a welder. He approached his career with diligence and pride, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic.

Adam's passing leaves a profound void, but his memory will be lovingly preserved by a family grateful for the time shared, and by friends and colleagues who were fortunate enough to know him.
