Rachel Shaw

Rachel Shaw, of Ivanhoe North Carolina, a devoted wife, loving mother, and passionate gardener, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a beloved member of her community.

Rachel joyfully served in the choir at Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrells, NC, for 78 years, lifting her voice in worship and sharing her faith through music. Her love for nature was evident in her garden, which she tended with the same care and devotion she gave to her family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Noon Tuesday, April 08, 2025, at Harmony Presbyterian Church, 7460 Wildcat Rd., Harrells, NC 28441. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Laura Wade of Clinton, NC; her sons, Robert Shaw and wife Muriel Shaw of Ivanhoe, NC, and Harry Shaw and wife Deedee Shaw of Wilmington, NC; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her deep pride and joy.

Rachel was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Carolyn Shaw Gooden, and her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert Eugene Shaw.

Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 08, 2025, from 11:00 AM-11:45 AM before the service in the Harmony Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.

Other times the family will be at the Lodge 12228 NC Hwy. 210 East, Ivanhoe, NC 28447

In lieu, of flowers memorial contribution,  may be made to the Harmony Presbyterian Church, 7460 Wildcat Rd. Harrells, NC  28441
