Sabina Chavez Gamas

Sabina Gamas, a beloved homemaker, was born on April 10, 1927, in Camarines Sur, Philippines. She departed this world on September 26, 2025, in Garland, North Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that touched the hearts of many.

A woman of deep faith, Sabina loved God and encompassed a spirit of warmth that was evident in her daily life. She cherished her role as a mother and nurtured her family with unwavering dedication, being blessed with six daughters, two sons, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored her.

Sabina found joy in simple pleasures, often seen playing basketball with the children or engrossed in her hobbies of sewing and gardening. Her vibrant personality and ability to connect with those around her created lasting memories that will be cherished by her family for generations.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Arturo Gamas, her parents, Roman and Anastacia Chaves, and six siblings, who will surely welcome her with open arms.

Family and friends are invited to honor her memory during the viewing on October 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home, located at 111 North Ingold Avenue, Garland, NC 28441. A funeral service will follow on October 4, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, also at Carter Funeral Home.

Sabina Gamas will be remembered not only for her remarkable life but also for the profound impact she had on those who loved her. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
